Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026
Blue Productions LLC ("Blue Productions," "we," "us") operates blue.productions and the SALT client portal at blue.productions/salt/. This page explains what information we collect through both, how we use it, and how to reach us with questions or requests.
The public site
Browsing blue.productions itself doesn't require an account and we don't run analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on it. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (like IP address and request timestamps) for security and reliability — we don't use these for marketing.
Booking & payments
When you book a filming day or a consultation from our pricing page, we collect your name, email, and (optionally) your business name, phone number, and any notes you add, along with the date and package you chose. We use these only to schedule and deliver your booking and to contact you about it; they appear on our internal production calendar. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe on its own secure checkout page — your card details never pass through or get stored on our site. Stripe shares back only what we need to confirm the booking (for example, that the payment succeeded and the amount).
The manifest (our mailing list)
If you join the manifest — from the sign-up on any page, or by leaving the box checked when you book or send us your story — we keep your email address and where on the site you joined, and add you to our newsletter service, Kit, which sends the emails. We use it only to send new films and occasional news from Blue Productions. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us and we'll take you off. Your browser also remembers (only on your own device) whether you've joined or hidden the sign-up bar, so it doesn't keep asking.
SALT — the client portal
SALT is where Blue Productions clients see their brand, website, social posts and calendar. Using it involves real information:
- Login. Your password is never stored in readable form — only a salted, one-way cryptographic hash of it. We can't look up or recover your actual password; a forgotten one has to be reset. Your first, temporary password is emailed to your business's contact and stops working after 7 days or once you choose your own.
- Session cookie. Signing in sets one cookie that proves who you are for up to 12 hours. It's inaccessible to page scripts and isn't used for tracking across other sites.
- Your business details. What you or we fill in under "Your details": business name, contact name and email, address, phone, hours, website and social media handles, and anything you add in the notes. You can change them any time.
- Your files. Logos, photos and videos you upload, for your brand guide, your website and your posts. Video and photo files you post are cleared from storage 90 days after they go out.
- Connected social accounts (optional). If you connect Instagram, a Facebook Page, YouTube, TikTok or LinkedIn, we receive an access token from that platform, plus the account's name, ID and picture. Tokens are encrypted and never shown in your browser. We use each connection only to publish the posts you schedule or approve, to check that they went out, and to read their results (views, likes, comments, shares, saves) to show you in SALT. We don't read your messages, followers' personal details, or anything else in your account.
YouTube and Google
If you connect YouTube, SALT uses YouTube API Services to upload the videos you schedule to your channel and to read their view, like and comment counts. By connecting, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. SALT's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements: we use it only to provide these features to you, never for advertising, and never share it except as this policy describes. You can remove SALT's access at any time from your Google account's security settings.
Brand guides, websites and captions
To draft your brand guide, website and post captions, SALT sends your business details, public information about your business, and (for captions) still frames from your videos to Anthropic's Claude AI service. Anthropic processes them to return the drafts and doesn't use them to train its models.
How we store it
SALT runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure: account details, posts and connections in Cloudflare's databases (D1 and Workers KV), and files in its storage (R2). It isn't shared with or accessible from any other Blue Productions system.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing. These services handle it on our behalf or because you asked us to:
- Stripe processes booking payments (see above).
- Kit sends our mailing-list emails to people who've joined the manifest.
- Resend delivers SALT's emails: your login details, and notices about posts waiting for your approval.
- Anthropic drafts brand guides, websites and captions (see above).
- Meta (Instagram and Facebook), Google (YouTube), TikTok and LinkedIn receive the posts you publish to the accounts you've connected, under their own privacy policies as well as this one.
- Cloudflare, as our hosting provider, processes data on our behalf to run the site and SALT.
Disconnecting accounts & data deletion
You can disconnect any social account in SALT (Content → Accounts), or remove SALT's access from the platform's own settings (Instagram and Facebook: Settings → Apps and Websites, or Business Integrations; Google: your account's security settings; TikTok and LinkedIn: their connected-apps settings). Either way, we delete the stored token. A data-deletion request made through Meta's "Apps and Websites" settings is confirmed at a status page SALT provides automatically.
To delete anything else we hold about you — your SALT account, details, files, or posts — email us at the address below and we'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
Blue Productions' services are intended for business use by adults operating or working with coastal businesses, not for children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle information changes, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
